On April 22, Jiang Cheng, Member of the Standing Committee of the Shandong Provincial CPC Committee and Secretary of the Yantai Municipal CPC Committee, led a trade delegation to Fiji for economic trade and friendship exchange activities. Fang Zhengji, Party Secretary and Chairman of Dongfang Electronics Corporation (hereafter referred to as DFE), participated in the delegation and signed a PV-Energy Storage Smart Microgrid Project Agreement with the Investment Fiji and other entities, followed by business negotiations and discussions.
During the visit, DFE met with Zhou Jian, Chinese Ambassador to Fiji, and the Director of the Investment Fiji. The company also held in-depth exchanges with Yat Sen Primary and Secondary School, pledging to strengthen project cooperation in energy conservation, emission reduction, and green low-carbon development.
On April 23, DFE conducted technical discussions with Zhaojin Group regarding the microgrid project for the latter’s Vatukoula Gold Mine. The company proposed a "Green Low-Carbon & Digital-Intelligent" power grid solution to fulfill the mine’s demands for reliable and sustainable electricity supply.
As an active participant in the International Zero-Carbon Island Cooperation Initiative, DFE has enhanced its global influence in renewable energy through targeted collaborations in green low-carbon fields. Going forward, the Group will deepen strategic partnerships with Fiji and other island nations by implementing PV-energy storage smart microgrid demonstration projects. These initiatives aim to provide low-carbon, stable power for local schools and industrial parks, while offering replicable implementation pathways for global zero-carbon island development – injecting new momentum into high-standard openness and high-quality growth.
